Yayasan Embun Pelangi

Yayasan Embun Pelangi (YEP) is a community-based foundation established in Batam in 2008 in response to the growing issues of HIV/AIDS, drug abuse, and human trafficking in the Riau Islands region. Founded by social activists committed to community empowerment and social justice, YEP focuses on prevention, harm reduction, recovery support, and empowerment programs for vulnerable individuals and communities, particularly women and children. Guided by its vision to strengthen the protection of women and children and improve community welfare based on human rights principles, Yayasan Embun Pelangi works in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, reducing the harmful impacts of drug abuse, and supporting victims of trafficking through protection, empowerment, and repatriation processes. The organization also emphasizes women’s empowerment, child protection, education, health, and community development while grounding its work in the values of Pancasila and the Constitution of Indonesia.
