Yayasan Selaksa Sejahtera (Yasera) is a social and humanitarian organization dedicated to serving and empowering vulnerable families across Indonesia, including remote areas in Bali, Papua, Lombok, and Sumba. Grounded in the understanding that true poverty is rooted in the brokenness of four fundamental relationships—with God, others, oneself, and creation—Yasera acts as a local catalyst to restore these vital connections. By healing these relationships, they break the cycle of systemic poverty and address the root vulnerabilities, such as a lack of legal documentation, that leave women and children highly susceptible to human trafficking, child labor, and modern slavery.In Bali, Yasera leads grassroots prevention initiatives aimed at making villages safer, healthier places for children to grow and thrive. By developing sustainable local income opportunities for families within their own communities, Yasera directly targets the economic pressures that often force parents to send their children to cities for work. Alongside these livelihood programs, they equip at-risk and dropped-out youth with vital life skills, English, and computer training while actively working with local officials to secure legal documentation, establish child protection policies, raise community awareness, and mobilize youth-led protection assemblies.
Deeply committed to multi-sector collaboration, Yasera strongly focuses on network strengthening as a proud member of the Kesatria Jagat Bali Damai coalition. By synergizing with local networks, village leaders, and anti-trafficking allies, Yasera ensures a collective, trauma-informed front aimed at breaking the cycle of exploitation and building safe, flourishing communities.
